Kendra Giles is a dancer, choreographer, teacher, social media manager, and photographer based in Birmingham, Alabama.
She is a Company Dancer with Sanspointe Dance Company and Gradient Dance Theatre, as well as a frequent professional guest artist with Magic City Performing Arts.
Kendra has taught at numerous studios through Birmingham, including Mt. Laurel Ballet, UAB ArtPlay, The Dance Foundation, and Gradient Dance Theatre & Community.
She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Alabama under the direction of Cornelius Carter and Lawerence Jackson. While at UA she participated in many capacities within the dance program, most notably performing with Alabama Repertory Dance Theatre (Rita Snyder, Jamorris Rivers, Qianping Guo, Mikhail Ilyin), Yonder Contemporary Dance Company (Sarah M. Barry), and choreographing and performing with Dance Alabama!.
Kendra's choreography journey began at the University of Alabama, and has carried her through incredible opportunities in her current community. Most notably, she has set original choreography for Magic City Performing Arts, a community ballet organization, that performs full-length classical ballets biannually such as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Don Quixote.
